2019 KCSD Polling Places

Polling places for the 2018-2019 elections have been changed from seven (7) locations to three (3) due to a change made in October 2018.

Voting machines will be in the lobby at these entrances:

2019-2020 Budget:

The Kingston City School District Board of Education has adopted a proposed budget in the amount of $180,813,057 for the 2019-2020 school year that carries a 1.45% tax levy increase and meets the New York State tax levy limit calculation. It is the goal of the Kingston City School District to design a budget that balances the needs of the students with the needs of the taxpayers. This budget will help maintain reduced class sizes in Grades K-2; all athletic, art and music programs; AP & College courses, and all high school electives. The budget also includes the introduction of the Pre-Kindergarten Program at the newly renovated Meagher Building. The district is able to maintain all of the current offerings while meeting the school board’s desire to keep tax increases to a minimum.

Proposition on the Ballot:

Approval of Lease Renewal of Warehouse and Maintenance Facility

Voting on this proposition will determine if the Kingston City School District may enter into a new 5-year lease to continue the use of the warehouse and maintenance facility located at 918 Ulster Ave., Kingston, NY. The school district has leased this property since December 2003 at an estimated rental of $100,000 per year.

Election of four (4) Board of Education Trustees: James Michael; Steven Spicer; Suzanne Jordan; Herbert Lamb; and Donn Avallone
